Blog Package Issue

Hi there,

I was trying to work with blog package.

My issue is that when I want to post a comment the page generates an error saying that connection to port 25 of 127.0.0.1 is actively refused which means that I don't have a mail server (SMTP) installed. I searched around but couldn't find a feature where makes me able to define a mail server. Any clue?

Thank you for your time.

Have you tried changing your mailserver in the <system.net> section of your web.config? (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/w355a94k.aspx)

Aboo,
You need edit web.config and use your smtp server instead of localhost:

<configuration>
  <system.net>
    <mailSettings>
      <smtp deliveryMethod="network">
        <network
          host="localhost"
          port="25"
          defaultCredentials="true"
        />
      </smtp>
    </mailSettings>
  </system.net>
</configuration>

or speficiying username and password:

<configuration>
  <system.net>
    <mailSettings>
      <smtp deliveryMethod="network">
        <network
          host="localhost"
          port="25"
          userName =" jim"
          password =" secret"
          defaultCredentials =" false"
        />
      </smtp>
    </mailSettings>
  </system.net>
</configuration>
