We are working on our 2.1 release and among the new stuff is an update to the visual (wysiwyg) editor in the C1 Console and full support for Google Chrome - if you have the time please consider giving it a spin and report issues you encounter. The installation is really easy if you have Web Platform Installer 3.0 and WebMatrix already running - read more on how you can install the latest nightly build of Composite C1.

IE9 Beta 1 sadly has some issues we have not tried to work around - we hope that future betas will play nice and work.

Thanks!

Actually Marcus,

Would it be possible to not use the Web PI to get this 2.1?

If not, I can wait, but I would rather not use the PI if at all possible.

Thanks!

Totally second that! CodePlex should be the number 1 source for releases, nightly builds (AND SOURCE CODE)...  Microsoft Web Platform Installer should be optional

We will sync up sources at earliest convenient opportunity -  until that happens you can get the (compiled) web sites files by directly downloading the ZIP used by Web PI - you can run it with IIS or VS2010 and don't need Web PI.
