Do you have the problem with other global data types? For example in another name.

Yes . All of global data types have the same problems .

I've just downloaded Composite C1 2.1 (BETA 3) Build no. 2.1.4039.21884 and run it on IIS 7.5.7600.16385 and Windows 7 Pro . I also install Omnicorp site  and try to add a News item . It has the same problems as well.

Thanks in advance.

The error you get is JavaScript (browser) related - could you provide me with info on you browser? Also try with another browser and see if you also get the same result.

I'm using on Firefox version

"Exception in [DockTabBinding] on broadcast 'bind entytytoken to view': TypeError: this._viewBinding is NULL "

and using on Chrome 8.0.552.237 with

"Exception in [DockTabBinding] on broadcast 'bind entytytoken to view': TypeError: Cannot call method 'getContentDocument' of null"

and using on IE 8.0.7600.16385

"Exception in [DockTabBinding] on broadcast 'bind entytytoken to view':[object Error]"

Thanks in advance.

I did the following:

  1. Downloaded the latest sources from
  2. Launched project in VS2010, compiled and ran (F5)
  3. Installed demo site, tried adding news item - no problems (FF 3.6.13)
  4. Pointed a IIS 7.5.7600.16385 site into the folder
  5. Launched the site, tried adding news item, creating a new data type and add data - no problem (FF 3.6.13 and IE 8.0.7600.16385)

I'm unable to reproduce the error you experience :( If anyone else out there experience this, please pitch in.

Is there any chance local software (firewall, anti virus etc.), proxies or firewalls can be blocking/filtering some aspects of the http communication between browser and IIS?
