Regarding "ADDING BLOG AND GALLERY" tutorial.

When following the tutorial as described, no picasa viewer is showing up.

Code used:

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
  <head></head>
  <body>
    <p>Testin testing</p>
    <f:function name="Composite.Media.ImageGallery.Picasa" xmlns:f="http://www.composite.net/ns/function/1.0">
      <f:param name="AlbumRss" value="https://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/base/user/sugarfairytales/albumid/5326292002474794801?alt=rss&kind=photo&hl=en_US" />
      <f:param name="Width" value="600" />
      <f:param name="Height" value="400" />
      <f:param name="ShowCaptions" value="False" />
      <f:param name="AutoPlay" value="True" />
      <f:param name="BackgroundColor" value="000000" />
    </f:function>
  </body>
</html>

Tested in:

Composite C1 2.1.1
Build no. 2.1.4113.99

Firefox 7.1 and IE9

Am I missing something here, or is there a bug.

Hi joedoe67,

I've looked into this issue and I am afraid I haven't been able to reproduce it so far.

What are versions of your Blog and Picasa packages, BTW?

1. Please try this link http://packagesdemo.c1.composite.net/Packages/Picasa-Gallery, it is the demo with your link.
Can you see the album?

2.  Are you using the "Nice URLs" functionality of the Contribution.CompositeC1Contrib.Core? Do your URLs look like "http://localhost:22156/Home/Blog.aspx" or "http://localhost:22156/Blog" ?

3. BTW,  how did you manage to use '&' instead of '&amp;' in the AlbumRSS param in the Source of your blog post (judging from your sample above)? :)
When you insert the RSS URL in Visual mode, '&' is expected. If you switch to Source mode, you'll see that they have been made into '&amp;'. If you try to use  '&' instead of '&amp;' in Source mode,  you will not be able to save the page -  validation fails.

4. There might be some tricky hard-to-catch bug with editing & saving blog posts in 2.1.1 (fixed in 3.0).
Try to unpublish and then publish the blog post with the album function - and see if this would help, too
