Composite c1 how to add template to dropdown list

I've created a template in Composite C1 but it's not appearing in the dropdown menu when I'm creating content.

So I can't select the template that I have created. I've searched the forums etc but can't find the answer. I'm guessing that I'm missing something really simple.

Hi Steve,

you need to go to "Layout | Page Types" and edit the "Page" type - in there you will see a list of 'available templates'.

Either add you new template or simply remove restrictions. The latter will just allow any template to be used.

This is a silly behavior in our starter site and we will change it - even I trip on this every time.

And I thought I'd looked everywhere.

Thanks Marcus.

I'm struggling with this despite reading the above. I've created a new template (with the .cs, .master and .xml) but it never shows up in the user interface. How can I get it to appear as a template so I can assign it to a page type?!

Did you create it by doing an "Add Template" like described on http://docs.composite.net/HTML/Guide-to-Templates-in-C1/Creating-Layout-Templates-in-C1 ?

Yeah I just figured that out... I keep forgetting that step! Thanks :)
