Hi there, does anyone have any info on how to install Composite C1 on a virtual hosted environment? I've got it going easily on Visual Web Developer 2010 Express on my local machine but wanted to get it going on a hosted environment?

All you need is:

1) Ensure that your site is running ASP.NET 4

2) Copy the files, for instance by using FTP or whatever method your hosting provider offer.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I suspect the devil is in the detail. I unzipped the Composite C1 folder into my wwwroot. That created a folder called Website. Navigating to http://domain-name/Website gave the following error:

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /website/composite/Renderers/FileNotFoundHandler.ashx

I've also tried http://domain-name/Website/Composite/top.aspx and just about every other variation. Any thoughts?

Update: sorry I've found the solution. You need to move all of the folders that are in Website into the wwwroot (i.e. App Data, Composite etc.) and then navigate to http://domain-name/composite.

Make sure your /website folder is configured as an application and not just a std. folder - or move Composite C1 to the root.
