Geez You're fast....

Sorry to bother You further, but small glitch, extra page breaks
http://docs.composite.net/C1/ASP-NET/CSharpFunctions.aspx

I bet some block element inserts extra pagebreak....

check pls

though I care bout function and not form, this small UX/form glitch must be easy to solve....

Hello,

Please, check out now.

Tested with both firefox and ie9..
It is like before. Left column is narrow, leave it as it was before this last change.

Extra page breaks is less problematic (and less ugly) than narrow columns.

sorry for bothering You...

greetings

mel

Hello,

Please, check out now.

Corrections:

firefox makes 2 columns (narrowing left content), 2 pages, no pagebreaks
ie9 has page breaks.... 3 pages
between "number of steps" end of

and "Getting started"

inside table.
my guess is that table inserts extra pagebreak...
opera: like firefox 2 columns, narrow, 2 pages, no extra pagebreaks
safari: ok, no narrow columns, no pagebreaks...

tell me if you need someething more...

mel

Try to clear browser cache as It looks OK in Firefox and IE9  - see screenshot HERE and I didn't do major changes just commented  page-break-before: always; for table css rule. IE browser by default insert page break before table.

table {
    page-break-inside: avoid;
    /*page-break-before: always;*/
}

I checked page  http://docs.composite.net/C1/ASP-NET/CSharpFunctions.aspx in IE9 - two pages, width is OK, in FF - two pages, width  is OK

Hi

  • FF
    • ff 7.0.1 chace cleaned, mine 2 columns left content narrow
      even after disabling all extensions, addins
      (I'm suspecting some toolbar, addin makes difference)
    • ff 7 colleague of mine, 1 col, page break after title.... (will upload pdf ASAP)
  • opera cache emptied
    • 2 cols, left narrow, will upload pdf

css is I presume: Frontend/Styles/Print.css.aspx

done more tests:

Firefox

FF =+ Print Preview =+ 2 cols (must be some local css ?!!?)

cleared cache,

Web Developer toolbar =+ cahce =+ disabled cache
Web Developer toolbar =+ CSS =+ Disable Styles =+ Print style - checked

tested

Web Developer toolbar =+ CSS =+ Disable Styles =+ Print style - unchecked

looks better
no 2 cols,
pagebreak before "introduction" header!

Opera

cleared all data, cache
added Firebug extension to analyze.
now it looks ok. no pagebreaks no 2 columns

mel
