Composite and single sourcing

I´m in the process of setting up a new project where one of the alternatives is using Composite as the CMS. One of the requirements is single sourcing. There will be a lot of page elements that will be used on various product pages (+1000 pages). One of the challenges will be to keep track of where the elements has been used. The plan is to set up data types that hold product/ product group elements that can be reused.

Is there anyone out there that has experience of single sourcing and Composite?
How did you implement it?
All types of advice is welcome.

Hi Bengt

You can reference your data types from pages in the of the following ways:

1) Reference it from a meta data type
2) Reference it from page data
3) Use function calls in page's content
